Head of Safety Surveillance & Product Vigilance, and QPPV Delegate
J&J Consumer, UK
Why I'm a JPAL
I was asked to be involved in 2017 by the Chief Medical Officer (Consumer) because of my years of experience in the industry, and particularly in the area of post-marketing medical safety and pharmacovigilance.
Bio
I am a physician (medical training at Cambridge University, UK and the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in London) and joined the pharmaceutical industry in 1994 when I worked in Clinical Development at Roche before spending 22+ years at Procter & Gamble mainly in post-market safety surveillance for medicines and medical devices. I joined J&J Consumerin 2017as a Director and Deputy Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance, within the Office of Consumer Medical Safety (OCMS). I now have an extended role in OCMS, as Head of Safety Surveillance & Product Vigilance, with responsibility for safety signal management and medical assessment of adverse events for marketed products.
Failure is not an option
I used to be in the Territorial Army where I learned to drive tanks and fire machine guns!
